In short

Voyage stores the trips you plan so that everyone travelling can see them. It has no accounts, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking, and it doesn't sell or share your information for marketing.

What Voyage keeps

  • Your trips: names, dates and destinations, and what you add to them — activities, flights, trains, drives, hotels, places, restaurants, favourites and notes, including any addresses, phone numbers, booking references and ticket numbers you enter.
  • Reservation files you upload to a flight. A photo, screenshot or document is turned into a PDF on your device before it's sent.
  • Access codes and the name the organiser gives each one, used to decide who can open which trip.
  • A notification token for your iPhone, if you allow notifications, with your chosen language — used only to tell you when a flight on your trip gets a gate, is delayed or is cancelled. Signing out removes it.

Voyage doesn't use your device's location, contacts, camera or microphone. A photo is read only when you choose one to upload.

On your device

Signing in with a code sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in. Your chosen language and text size are remembered on your device. On iPhone and iPad, addresses already placed on a map are kept on the device so they aren't looked up again.

Services Voyage uses

To fill in details and keep the trip up to date, Voyage asks these services on your behalf:

  • Google Maps Platform — place details, addresses and drive times
  • AeroDataBox (through RapidAPI) — flight schedules, sent the flight number and date
  • FlightAware AeroAPI — gates, delays and baggage belts near a flight, sent the flight number, departure airport and times
  • Transitous (transitous.org) — train times from open timetable data, sent the train number, station and date
  • Open-Meteo — weather forecasts, sent a place name and dates
  • Apple Maps — on iPhone and iPad, to place saved addresses on a map
  • Apple Push Notification service — to deliver flight notifications to your iPhone, sent the flight and what changed

Only what each lookup needs is sent, never your trips as a whole. Trips are stored with Neon (database) and served by Vercel (hosting).

Who can see it

A trip can be seen and edited by anyone holding an access code for it, and by the organiser. Share codes only with people you're travelling with.

Keeping and deleting

Trips are kept until the organiser deletes them; deleting a trip removes everything saved with it, including its files. To have your information removed, ask the organiser or write to app@edward-tu.com.

Children

Voyage isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Questions: app@edward-tu.com, or see Support.
